Technical Specifications of the MODIK Modular Panel System
General
- MODIK modular panel system complied with IEC 61439-1 (BS EN 61439-1) & IEC 60529 (BS EN 60529) standards.
- MODIK modular panel system is a bolted construction and made by assembly of the standard modular parts using bolts. This bolted construction enable to change the panel during design stage, panel manufacturing stage, panel building (wiring) stage, panel installation stage and even after commissioning, due to design changes.
- All doors, covers, partition plates and cable entry plates are available as standard items to interchange parts in case of design change; before or after commissioning of the system.
- MODIK Modular Panel system can supply as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) form to deliver as parts to the site and assemble at the site, if required.
- MODIK Modular Panel system can use to makes electrical panels of Form 1, 2 3 & 4 and sub sections there of as per IEC 61439-1&2 (BS EN 61439-1&2), from standard parts.
- Sprayed chemical pre-treatment process is use to clean the surface before powder coating. Powder coated is done using conveyorised paint line to avoid contamination of cleaned surface. Powder curing is done by an IR (Infra-Red) oven for controlled chemical process of powder curing.

- Pre-treatment: High pressure spray of water and Phosphating chemicals for de-greasing, de-rusting and Phosphating.

Structure
- Plinth of the panel system is made of 4 plinth corners and 4 number of profiles. The profiles are available in different modular sizes as standard item to make plinths of desired sizes, by assemble of profiles & plinth corners using bolts.
- Structure of the panel system is made of square profiles made of 2mm Electro Galvanized (EG) steel. These profiles are available in different modular lengths as standard items to make frames of desired modular size with complete modularity in X, Y & Z directions. These profiles are bolted at the ends and these profiles have provisions in regular intervals to fix other structural parts & inserts.
- Internal structural profile of rectangular shape are available to give extra strength to the structure
and divide the panel into sub sections. These profiles are made of 2mm Electro Galvanized (EG) steel.
These profiles are available in different modular lengths as standard item to divide the structure into desired modular sections, with complete modularity in X, Y & Z directions. These profiles are bolted at the ends and these profiles have provisions in regular intervals to fix other structural parts & inserts.
Doors & Covers
- Doors are available in different modular sizes as standard item to use with different designs. Doors are supplied with PU-FIP gasket to secure the degree of protection up to IP 42 as per IEC 60529 (BS EN 60529) standard. The door able to hinged right or left hand side and opens 120 degrees. The door hinge is Aluminum die-casted hinge with middle anchoring for extra strength. Standard lock is quarter turn lock with a common key. Locks with different keys are available on request. Doors are supplied with 2 earth studs, stud welded to base material to earth the door.
- Covers are available in different modular sizes as standard item to use with different designs. Covers are supplied with PU -FIP gasket to secure the degree of protection up to IP 42 as per IEC 60529 (BS EN 60529) standard. Covers are fixed with screws and finishing washers to maintain the IP class.
Inserts & Partitions
- Cable entry plates are available in different modular sizes to use at the bottom of the panel to take cables into the panel.
- Partition plates are available in different modular sizes to use as barrier plates to avoid contact with live parts, and to design panels with maximum safety. These plates are also able to use to make
panels of different types of forms of segregation ranging from, Form 1 to Form 4B as per IEC 61439-1 (BS EN 61439-1) - Fixed compartments units, & removable units are available as standard items in different modular sizes to design panels with internal separation from Form 1 to Form 4B as per IEC61439-1 (BS EN 61439-1)
- Mounting plates are available in different module sizes to mount equipment in the panel.
- Cable holders are available in different module sizes to use to manage cables inside the panel.
Busbars
- Busbar system is designed to withstand the mechanical and thermal stress existing during normal service as well as under fault conditions

- Busbars are hold by clamps as this allows thermal expansion & contraction, without stressing the busbars.
